cancer – day 91
Joy of joys, the mail is now being consistently being forwarded from my permanent Volcanoville address to my temporary Sacramento address, and 90% of what gets through are medical bills. No wonder people die of this stuff, if they can’t afford the care and cures that would save them. My first bill today was for $18,651.84. The second one was for $35,746.95. In addition to the $21,173.80 for all those biopsy surgeries. I’m not even sure if they’ve billed for the big lumpectomy surgery yet. And they definitely haven’t gotten their finances caught up to the porta cath surgery or chemo treatments . . .
I told myself not to blog about money, but sheesh, it is mindboggling how quickly medical care becomes prohibitively costly. Sad.
