cancer – day 906
Argh, the PAIN! Someone kill me now. It’s so bad I scream if I put my foot on the ground, the neuropathy is the worst it’s ever been, and it’s because I’m speaking at this damn conference at a freaking convention center, where getting from one thing to the next is like taking four laps around a football field. Considering that the burning in my feet is exacerbated by pressure, exercise is out of the question of course, but can’t I just please be able to walk to my Jeep from the elevator without crying out in pain? My presentation went fine, but I was in agony.
NO MORE CONFERENCES! The burning stabbing slicing neuropathy feet are not ready to hike. No more football field laps of walking for meetings. Not for a long, long time. For now, away from the conference in my comfy clothes with my feet propped up away from touching anything whatsoever, it’s still really bad, but it’s back down to a 7, which sucks but I’m used to. Man, when it’s up there in the nine’s, all I can do is scream in agony. Good thing I got back to my Jeep before that happened.
No more conferences. I enjoy presenting, but I can’t walk between sessions. I hope I’ll be able to walk a little better for my Summit conference that I run in Atlanta each April. It’s more manageable because I keep the sessions to a tight area.
Sigh. No more conferences.
