cancer – day 801

I went to get the internet satellite installed today in Eugene, Oregon. This day was the purpose of my entire trip. But hell, Don (who owns the satellite place) had a practically new previously-owned MotoSat XF2, which a REALLY good dish that I couldn’t afford new (which is like $12,000 + $900 for installation). But this “used “ one (I put that in quotes, because it actually is new, it sat inside a facility for a year or so and was never used or taken out on an RV) is nearly half the price and I’m unbelievably lucky to get this deal. So I’m happy about it.

After two nights of practically no sleep though, I’m not sure how far I’ll be able to drive tonight. Certainly not all the way to Coeur d’Alene as originally planned. Not that I particularly care about following the general trip plan in any great detail, as demonstrated by my previous decision to go through Yellowstone and then across central Oregon, which added many, many hours to my drive time but wow, central Oregon is amazing. I have to go through there again when I can spend a week or more on just that road.
