cancer – day 334
I was starting to get back in the habit of blogging frequently again, and then, well, I stopped feeling like I have anything to write about. All I’ve been doing is working, and I played WoW a little, but that’s pretty much it. I haven’t even seen an episode of Dancing with the Stars yet. I guess I’ll get caught up on that after the Summit.
I run this seminar thing in Atlanta every April, and the last few weeks leading up to it are always just nuts. And that’s where I am right now, in the middle of “just nuts,” which is something less stressful than “insanely busy” but definitely much worse than “manageable.” Actually, now that I think about it, I couldn’t handle “insanely busy,” at least not by my previous work habits, pre-cancer that is. When it’s like that, I’ll have 20-hour days and do nothing but work, interrupted only by a bare minimum of sleep, IF there’s time for that. Last year, the night before the Summit was an all-nighter for me.
I’m pretty sure my all-nighter days are over. Unless maybe it’s all night dancing, which is a different story altogether. When I’ve been dancing all night (it’s almost always West Coast Swing, what other dance can truly keep you entertained and awake all night?), it’s usually do-able because I slept in until noon the day before and had a nap around 7-8PM, before staring my “all-night” dancing around nine or ten. Good times, good times.
