cancer – day 214
Mark got some great news yesterday afternoon . . . the insurance company finally told him that it would cost more than $10,000 to repair the damage done to his car when it was stolen, so it’s definitely totaled, but the good news is that they’re giving him nearly double what he paid for the car as the settlement. Mark obviously got a great deal on the car when he bought it! (The car had bad paint, which brought the purchase price down but doesn’t factor into the insurance valuation of the vehicle, how sweet is that?) So anyway, the settlement is a huge stress relief. Now Mark knows how much he can spend on the kind of minivan he wants, though next week is probably the earliest he will be able to make an offer on one.
The other news yesterday afternoon was that Mark is going to Phoenix for work and his company’s Christmas party during my last week of radiation. So it will be very quiet around here while I’m packing up the last of my stuff from Sac to move it home to Volcanoville. He’ll be in town on my birthday (Monday the 8th), though I don’t know that he wants to do anything different than our usual I-go-to-yoga-early-and-he-goes-to-yoga-late-so-we-don’t-really-have-time-to-spend-together Monday night routine. But that Monday may very well be my last yoga class before moving back home, so it definitely wouldn’t be a bad thing to get to go to yoga on my birthday. 🙂
