cancer – day 200
Wow, 200 days. Sounds like a lot.
I was tidying up my office today, and came across the medication bag I used during the beginning of chemo. But as they started giving me more and more meds to counter the additional side effects I was having, I couldn’t keep all the active bottles in the same medication bag, so I got a messenger bag to hold all the medications, and for some reason I started throwing the empty pill bottles into the original medication bag, instead of throwing them away in the garbage.
So I came across this medication bag today when I was cleaning up my office, and the thing is overflowing with pill bottles. Thirty-four bottles, to be exact. Wow, I was on a lot of drugs during chemo. No wonder I hardly remember it now except to know it was awful.
It’s funny how the details have slipped my mind. Not that I want to be thinking about or remembering everything that happened during chemo, but it’s interesting to me that I don’t remember much. Of course, I did write in my journal and blog every day, so I could go read that stuff if I really wanted to remember. Maybe I will some day. I’ve never read my blog. Once I post something, I generally put it out of my mind and let it go. That’s the idea, anyway.
