cancer – day 163

[texted from the blackberry]

My housekey is gone, along with the really cool red leather Cirque du Soleil keyring and small clock I had the house key-ringed to. What has me the most upset about that is losing the keystrap and clock thing, though I’m exhausted now from extending what was supposed to be five minutes of brief-post-cat-visit-running-one-errand with five extra hours of running errands and killing time out and about when I needed to be resting at home. Ugh. So here I am going into my “flu week” utterly wiped out. Mark won’t be back for another hour at least, so I’m going to be late on my meds, but only by an hour or so. Maybe I can get in a nap in Mom’s car waiting for Mark to get back from wine-tasting. I finally gave up on trying to do anything else and am just parked in the driveway, trying to nap, waiting. Lame.

Later . . .

Here’s the kicker . . .there was a problem with Mark’s wine bus and they had to keep stopping and cooling this hose thing and Mark was afraid they were going to get really stuck and be by the roadside for hours! I was actually really lucky that Mark got back all right, or I could have been locked out for many, many more hours. So we had a lucky break today, too, even though I had a generally a tiring frustrating afternoon.
