cancer – day 106

I got the nicest handwritten note in the mail today, from the CEO at Chain, Mike. He was my first boss at i2 back in the day, some ten years ago or so. Wow, ten years? Anyway, this was so nice, I just had to include it in the blog for my family to see . . .

Cynthia,
I started to drop you an e-mail but I thought it would be too impersonal for what is a very significant personal challenge that you are facing. I want you to know that all of us at the Chain Gang are thinking of you and are eager to offer support in any way that we can. You have always proven yourself to be a strong individual and the tone of your message to the team demonstrates the strength and courage you are applying to this fight. I want to personally offer you my prayers and support. Please to do not hesitate to reach out to me if there is anything I can do. I know you will be victorious and this will be an experience that strengthens your spirit and your bonds with friends and family.
Sincerely,
Mike

Uff da, talk about nice! Then I started wondering, what the heck did I send to the company when I told them I was going to be off for chemo?
