Concert Performance Invitation

This year I have an opportunity to overcome adversity in the face of pain and disability, and I decided to take up the challenge. I am playing a 30-minute flute solo concert on December 20th!

I have two accompanists, one for the pipe organ (Marilyn Nyberg) and another for the piano (Kathleen West).

I’m playing high-level professional works that normally I could have polished up in a month or so, but I have a 30-minutes/day (often less, sometimes more) rehearsal time limit because of the burning pain in my hands. Neuropathy makes it near impossible to get in good quality practice time. So, I started working on my pieces way back in March, practicing a lame 30 minutes a day, or 20 minutes, if that was all I could stand. But it’s going to be great. Seriously!
