Bach’s Lunch Concert

Wow, the place was absolutely packed for my solo concert! And everyone seemed to just love it. People seemed truly touched inside, which doesn’t always happen in a concert. The loving energy in that crowd as they experienced that fantastic arrangement of Amazing Grace, the energy the audience gave back to me as I played my flute had that sweet sorrow as they thought about those they love that are gone, it connected us all, in a way, in that shared moment.

The neuropathy is excruciating now, after the adrenaline of the concert wore off. I can type some using only my fingernails on the keyboard, and I really wanted to put a little note on the blog to say thank you. I knew I’d be laid up for days with the pain after pushing myself to the absolute limit, but it was worth it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the people in the audience! I have never seen the Bach’s Lunch Concert filled to capacity. I also want specifically to thank the 200 or so people who stood in line waiting to give me a hug and express your appreciation or emotion of my concert.
