cancer – day 365

Well, there you go, the “cancer” phone call happened one year ago. 365 days. Not quite sure how to feel about that. Seems like forever ago, seems like yesterday, can’t believe it’s been a year already, thought it would never end while I was going through it.

I just got off the phone with Susan LeDeaux, whom I am doing the Race for the Cure in Sacramento with on May 9th. She sounds like a very nice woman, slow with age but thoughtful. I’m really glad I’m going to be helping her on race day.

Not that we’re racing, mind you! We’re doing the one-mile walk. But next year I think I’m going to register for Sleep In for the Cure. I have to meet Susan in Sacramento at 6AM on May 9th, yikes!
