Well, ok, so let’s blame it on chemo brain, but when I was looking at my test results online, the CBC results specifically that is, I was actually looking at the results from my last blood draw, which was the Friday before my last chemo infusion. In other words, the results were from a blood draw when I should have been as healthy as possible, explaining why all my numbers were so good when I actually felt pretty crummy.

The ACTUAL CBC for the day I went in for the extra blood draw (last Friday) wasn’t really that bad, but it wasn’t that great. My white blood cell count had fallen pretty far below normal. My score was a 2.7, where the normal range is 4.0-11.0, though on my Day 10 blood draw I was at 1.5, so this wasn’t nearly as bad (though it disproves the absolute Isamune theory). And a bunch of other results that were within normal range for my day 10 blood draw were now off-kilter and one of them that was ranked LL (low-low) was “verified by repeat analysis.” So I’m taking a copy of the results with me the next time I go in to ask what the various out-of-range scores mean. I’m too tired to research all this stuff online myself today.
