cancer – day 90
“Stress Relief Mineral Bath Salts.” Hmmm, RrreEEaaly, well, let’s see if they work. Not that I’m feeling any particular stress that needs relief, but after all that tub-scrubbing on Sunday, I had to give the tub a try. Well, ok, aside from a minor ant problem and some sorely needed re-grouting for the tile, you could say the bath is sufficiently calming. And the porta cath steri-strips seemed to have tolerated the bit of wet all right, no soaking the steristrips mind you, but they did of course get a little wet. I’m not stressed, but I am frustrated. I can’t think. Literally. I repeat myself. I repeat other people. I wonder that there’s not a single unique thought in my head, and yet still I can’t seem to keep track of which food is for being constipated or what time I took the med that’s on an 8-hour cycle versus the two on 6-hr cycles and which one is the one that makes me so drowsy I sleep the day away.20 Tuesday, sleep, call prep, sleep, call, babysitter, day gone. Wednesday, get up, nap. Eat some yogurt, nap. Look for wigs online, sleep, day gone. Thursday, ah now, here we have a big one! Awake, eat banana & pudding, nap, go with Mark to the wig shop AND buy a cute everyday wig (Whoohoo! Big day!). Nap. Try to eat, feel nauseous from getting car sick on the wig trip @ lunchtime. Here’s the good one though, we rode the tandem bike over to Trader Joe’s and got some fresh fruit & stuff, and made a nice dinner, which is probably what’s killin’ my stomach now, ate too much? Ach, think it’s time for more sleep. Goodbye Thursday.
