cancer – day 70

We had a great time wandering around in Las Vegas today, we had a ridiculously expensive sorbetto at the Forum Shoppes at Cesar’s palace, and we had lunch sitting right next to the canal in The Venetian. We went to Scythe’s show tonight and just had a blast. I have this friend, Scythe Cameron, who is a singer/songwriter and lives in Vegas, and he’s Morris E. Day in a Prince tribute band called Purple Reign. Every time I go to Vegas, I make an effort to go see their show at whatever casino they’re playing at. This one was at South Point, which isn’t an especially nice casino, but the Showroom where Purple Reign played was large and had a good-sized dance floor, and we got good seats even though we were late and Scythe couldn’t move us to the reserved seating. Scythe was awesome, as usual. He just has such a bright personality; he’s perfect for the Morris part with the band. His cousin (I always forget his name) is Prince and he’s the one who started the band years ago. Mark really loved the music and the show, and we had a great time dancing afterwards, too.
